Inside the Eagle and Child. We went here last night after our 'German society' function got cancelled. Therese had promised Alex and I some strange german drink that you lit on fire, and a german movie. But, alas.

In the inside of the Eagle and Child, candles were lit. Therese almost lit her hair on fire on one of these candles. Luckily I saved her.

Alright, here is proof of other students who are in my course.
There are only five of us, so we are a rare species here at Oxford, and within the theology department we are a tiny minority. Alex is studying Hinduism and Buddism, and Therese is studying Islam and Christianity. And although we are studying different religions, we can all share a friendly beer together. Pluralism at its finest. Oh they are wonderful, and although I love my Said Business School friends who live with me, it is nice to rant and rave about religion and culture over a beer rather than listening hopelessly to stories of management training, or 'going into Banking', or consulting.

I look completely crazy here. I was fake laughing to show that we were having a good time, and Therese is actually laughing.
German laughing. In German. She is from Berlin.

Alex is so sad because he is leaving us Monday to visit his girlfriend who is working on her dissertation in Argentina... (her and Alex are fellow Cambridge alumni. Those people are so smart.)

Here I am looking sad. Alex said I looked like one of those covers of an afterschool special video. Like I have done something 'bad' and am now pondering how I can turn my life around.
