Black Tie Dinner

Today is Thanksgiving in the states and I missed it. Luckily we had our black tie dinner tonight for the MCR. (Middle Common Room, which means graduate students in Keble College.) It was really nice because everyone got dressed up and had a really nice meal together with pre and post dinner drinks.
This is Erin (blonde) and Nora. They live down the hall from me. MBA students. Nora is from Saudi Arabia, and Erin is from Chicago.

By the end of the meal I had been served: white wine - to go with salad, red wine - to go with meat/main meal, Port (distilled wine) - to go with the white and dark chocolate dessert, and finally, coffee. The other glass is water. Just in case you get thirsty. Before dinner we had champagne. (Before dinner drinks of course in the MCR)

As you can see I drank mostly white wine. The Port was really really rich. It tasted like sherry.

Dinner in hall.
